Business Unit Overview

Goldman Sachs Services Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an analyst for the Loan Management function within the Global Banking & Markets Public Division. This role supports Mortgages and Structured Products pertaining to loan trading, derivatives, and securities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee trading and lending data pipelines and databases.
  • Automate processes to reduce manual interventions and improve efficiency.
  • Develop strategic reporting for trading desks and asset management.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness by collaborating across departments.
  • Liaise with Controllers, Compliance, and Risk for regulatory reporting.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable solution specifications.
  • Manage project timelines for analytics, automation, and reporting deliverables.
  • Reconcile data discrepancies between external vendors and internal databases.

Skills / Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, and ETL.
  • Engineering degree with minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Java, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with data transformation and reporting tools such as Tableau, QlikSense, etc.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage workload priorities.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning.
  • Understanding of databases, data models, and ETL processes.
  • Mortgage banking or related financial industry experience.
  • Familiarity with structured finance and collateralized lending concepts.
