About the Role
The Public Health Nurse Senior Clinical Health Specialist role at Canadian Red Cross is a casual position requiring in-person deployment across Canada. Reporting to various clinical leads and managers, the incumbent will work in multiple clinical settings to support local health authorities or communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete required CRC Learning Pathway and Site-Specific Training
- Obtain province/territory licensure and maintain all certifications
- Provide direct clinical care in low resource settings including community, home, and school visits
- Administer immunization programs and provide maternal/child health support
- Conduct assessments, health promotion, disease prevention and education
- Offer public health emergency support including communicable disease surveillance and contact tracing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and community care partners
- Adhere to CRC policies, protocols, and culturally safe care practices
Working Conditions
This role requires scheduled travel and deployment across various provinces and territories. Daily per diem rates apply based on location along with potential hardship and duration incentives.
