Role Summary

The Account Manager, Business Development is crucial for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This role actively participates in the planning, execution, and evaluation of Training Partner strategies, ensuring customer needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth in training numbers and revenues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support revenue targets by assisting partners in meeting annual goals.
  • Provide high-quality service to partners, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with partners by aligning support with their business needs.
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist in business development efforts by providing partners with insights and support to enhance their market presence.
  • Gather and share market insights with internal teams to inform program improvements.
  • Maintain records of partner interactions and assist in identifying growth opportunities.
  • Identify service gaps and support strategies to expand into new markets or with new channels.
  • Develop and execute an annual work plan to support marketing and sales initiatives to engage target audiences.
  • Represent the Red Cross at industry events to support networking and partnership opportunities.
  • Help strengthen community partnerships to expand program reach.
  • Assist partners in accessing tools, technology, and product resources.
  • Provide orientation and product knowledge training.
  • Create and implement opportunities for partner recognition and engagement.
  • Monitor contract compliance and report potential breaches.
  • Participate in program operations by supporting coordination and task force initiatives.
  • Encourage partner engagement in volunteer initiatives to enhance community impact.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' experience and a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma in business administration, commerce, or a related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Client Experience: Experience working with corporate, community, or government clients.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of and proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and a customer relationship management platform.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues by applying standard procedures and functional or organizational knowledge.
  • Communication & Diplomacy: Excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and empathy to interpret information, deliver advice, clarify client needs, offer solutions, and resolve escalations in sensitive situations.

Working Conditions

  • Language: As we work with people globally, applicants whose first language is not English may be required to perform responsibilities in English.
  • Eligibility to Work: Welcome applications from candidates eligible to work in Canada.
  • Pre-employment Screening: Successful completion of a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC) is required.
