Role Overview:

Reporting to the Executive Vice-President, Strategy & Partnerships, and President, CMA Foundation, the Vice-President, Partnerships provides enterprise-wide leadership for CMA’s strategic partnerships, alliances, and enterprise giving. This senior leadership role is accountable for setting the direction, governance, and performance of CMA’s partnerships, alliances, and giving portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Steward CMA’s external relationships across the medical, health, philanthropic, corporate, and multi-sector ecosystems, fostering trust and opportunities for collective action.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, Boards, elected leaders, and senior partners to provide strategic counsel on partnership opportunities and emerging risks, safeguarding CMA’s credibility and reputation.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise giving, including partnerships, grants, sponsorships, and other initiatives, ensuring strong governance and fiduciary accountability.
  • Lead and foster a high-performing, inclusive, and values-aligned team.
  • Guide the integration of partnerships and giving strategies across enterprise priorities.
  • Support national convenings and coalitions, and represent the CMA in high-impact engagements with senior leaders nationally and internationally.

  • Deep understanding of the medical and health ecosystem.
  • Strong enterprise judgment and demonstrated ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic, diplomatic, and credible leader experienced in advising Boards and executive committees.
  • Strong financial and risk management acumen.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
