Overview
The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to support its marketing, communications, and revenue generating programs including the CIBC Run for the Cure, Relay for Life Youth and corporate partner initiatives. The role entails executing advertising campaigns, managing digital content, and nurturing strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing: Support strategy, development and execution of the CIBC Run for the Cure mass marketing campaign. Collaborate with internal teams (brand, digital, fundraising) and external vendors to produce digital, social media, and radio sponsorship assets while ensuring brand integrity.
Communications: Develop and execute communications, public relations, and media strategies for fundraising programs. Create high-quality on-brand materials such as news releases, fact sheets, videos and more, while supporting media training and key message development.
Partnerships: Manage day-to-day communications and account management with CIBC. Support content development for CIBC Stewardship Reports and oversee approval processes while engaging with stakeholders and executing on-site activations.
Additional Duties: Assist in prospect clearance reviews, manage multiple projects with internal and external teams, and contribute to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or post-graduate certificate in marketing, communications or a related field; 3-5 years of relevant experience; excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; strong knowledge in advertising, digital marketing, branding, and media relations; experience in agency/account management; bilingualism (French/English) preferred.
