Job Description
About The Role
The Planning and Performance Specialist Communication and Brand at Canada Council for the Arts is responsible for leading and managing transformative communications projects. Under the direct supervision of the Director, Communications, you will oversee single or multiple projects ensuring they meet scope, quality, time, and budget requirements.
You will collaborate with the Communications team to maintain a project portfolio, provide regular status updates, and establish project communication strategies. Responsibilities include developing performance reports for digital content channels such as media, website, social media, newsletters, and other bulletins.
You will also contribute to the implementation of tools and processes that improve planning and monitoring, manage financial and human resources for corporate projects, and maintain thorough documentation for each project.
Education & Experience
A college diploma in communications, marketing or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years experience in managing projects. A PMP certification or equivalent is required. In addition, you must have five (5) years experience leading large, complex multi-channel digital projects in an agile context, along with progressive experience in digital marketing coordination and production.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, ability to develop project charters, manage cross-functional teams, delegate effectively, and maintain stakeholder trust. Must be skilled in risk management, budgeting, resource planning, and performance reporting for digital communications. In addition, excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills are essential.
Bilingual Requirements & Inclusivity
This role may require the use of both official languages with intermediate proficiency required in reading, writing, and oral communication.
