The Role

Are you currently a Project Coordinator with 3-5 years of progressive experience looking for that next step? The Assistant Project Manager assists in providing direction for assigned projects and under the direction of a Senior Project Leader assumes responsibility for the overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality assurance and project status. This position involves subcontract negotiations, liaison with owners, engineers, and sub-trades, and management of the technical and financial aspects of the contract. The Assistant Project Manager is part of the front-line CANA project team responsible for contact with consultants and the Owner, and is therefore responsible for promoting and projecting the CANA image of efficiency, quality, and technical competence and fair management of trades and suppliers.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction management. Equivalencies will be considered.
  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in the construction industry as a Project Coordinator/Project Engineer with varied experience in the size and scope of projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
