About the role
Sales Development Representative
Good Sam Enterprises is seeking a Sales Development Representative to support the growth of the Overnight Stays host network through proactive outreach, relationship building, and lead coordination. This role sits at the intersection of sales, operations, and partnerships, serving as an early touchpoint for prospective hosts while ensuring a high-quality experience throughout the acquisition funnel.
The role will engage potential hosts through inbound interest and targeted outreach, educate them on program expectations and benefits, and coordinate next steps with our Sales Manager. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workflows while contributing to overall host acquisition goals.
This position reports to the Overnight Stays Operations Lead.
Responsibilities
Sales Development & Qualification
- Serve as an initial point of contact for prospective Overnight Stays hosts across inbound inquiries, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Educate potential hosts on program structure, participation requirements, and member expectations.
- Assess host fit based on defined criteria and readiness to participate.
- Adhere to team SLA / SOPs
- Coordinate qualified opportunities and handoffs to Sales Managers
Outbound & Follow-Up Coordination
- Conduct structured outbound outreach to prospective hosts identified through internal lists, partnerships, and regional priorities.
- Manage follow-up sequences to maintain engagement and progress hosts through early acquisition stages.
- Personalize outreach based on host type, geography, or industry where appropriate.
Program Operations
- Maintain accurate records of host interactions, status, and next steps in CRM.
- Track progress against weekly and monthly engagement and qualification targets.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Partnerships, and Marketing to align on priorities and lead flow.
- Surface insights on host feedback, objections, and common questions to inform program optimization.
- Support ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency and conversion across the funnel.
Qualifications
This is a hybrid role in our Chicago, IL office. Must be able to be in office 3 days per week.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer-facing, coordination, or business development roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, consultative approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or similar field.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage follow-ups, tasks, and competing priorities.
- Comfortable engaging new contacts and initiating conversations.
- Detail-oriented with experience working in CRM or workflow tools (HubSpot preferred)
- Ability to Travel 5-10% of the time
- Collaborative, coachable, and motivated by contributing to team-based goals.
Pay Range
$23.25-$27.90 Hourly
