About the Role
A leading AI research initiative is seeking experienced Software Engineers with hands-on code agent experience to contribute to a frontier project at the intersection of AI and software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize AI coding agents (e.g., Codex, Claude Code) to perform, evaluate, and refine coding tasks.
- Contribute using Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Write clean, efficient, production-grade code.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers.
Ideal Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding agents.
- Proficiency in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Strong contributions to open-source or documented personal projects on GitHub.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier university.
- Based in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and written communication skills.
Project Timeline & Contract Details
Start Date: Early October, applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Minimum duration of 2 weeks with potential extension. Commitment: 10–20 hours/week with option to extend up to 40 hours/week. Fully remote and asynchronous work schedule.
Compensation & Contract
- Hourly Rate: $70–$90 USD (based on experience and skill)
- Contract Type: Independent contractor
- Payments: Weekly payouts via Stripe Connect
