About the Role
A leading AI research initiative is recruiting experienced Software Engineers with hands-on experience in using AI coding agents for real-world production-grade codebases. As a Software Engineer Remote Part-Time, you will work on projects that help train and evaluate next-generation AI coding systems to improve how future models reason, debug, and write software under real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize AI coding agents (e.g., Codex, Claude Code) to solve complex coding tasks.
- Design, test, and validate medium scale code projects in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Evaluate AI-generated code for functionality, clarity, and performance.
- Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and engineers to enhance coding benchmarks.
- Provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning and software design.
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience integrating AI coding tools into development workflows.
- Contributions to open-source projects or public GitHub repositories.
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a top university.
- Exceptional attention to detail and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand.
Role Highlights
- Flexible workload: 10–20 hours/week with potential scale up to 40 hours.
- Fully remote and asynchronous work schedule.
- Contract duration: minimum two weeks with possibility for extension.
- Compensation Rate: $70–$90 USD per hour based on experience and region.
- Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
