About the Role

A leading AI research initiative is seeking experienced Software Engineers with hands-on code agent experience to contribute to a frontier project at the intersection of AI and software development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use AI coding agents (Codex, Claude Code, or equivalent) to perform and evaluate coding tasks.
  • Contribute to projects in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
  • Write clean, efficient, production-grade code across various codebases.
  • Review and validate AI-generated code for performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to improve model accuracy.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-assisted coding agents.
  • Proficiency in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
  • Significant contributions to open-source or personal projects on GitHub.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier university.
  • Based in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

Project Timeline & Commitment

Start Date: Early October. Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, potential extension. Commitment: 10–20 hours/week (extendable up to 40 hours/week). Fully remote and asynchronous schedule.

Compensation & Contract

  • Hourly Rate: $70–$90 USD per hour based on experience.
