About the Role

The Investment Analyst - Banking & Finance role is a unique opportunity to apply your investment banking expertise towards developing AI systems that think, reason, and analyze like financial professionals. You will collaborate with AI researchers to train and benchmark advanced large language models (LLMs) for real-world financial reasoning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine AI-generated financial models, pitch decks, and company analyses.
• Draft and assess investment memos, transaction summaries, and valuation materials.
• Provide structured feedback on clarity, rigor, and analytical depth of model outputs.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to strengthen model understanding.
• Identify gaps, ensuring outputs reflect real-world accuracy and strategic insight.

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years experience at a top-tier investment bank or financial advisory firm.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, M&A, or capital markets.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools or LLMs is a plus.

Project Details

• Start Date: October (rolling applications)
• Duration: Minimum 4 weeks with potential long-term extension
• Commitment: ~10 hours/week, fully flexible
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous
• Compensation: $130/hour (top performers may receive higher rates)
• Contract Type: Independent contractor (at-will)
• Payments: Weekly via Stripe Connect based on logged hours
