About the Role

A leading AI research initiative is looking for a Freelance Video Editor. In this part-time, remote role, you will analyze video clips and images to produce structured annotations that capture essential scene details. Your work supports training next-generation multimodal AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Watch and analyze video clips and images.
• Produce structured annotations for subjects, environments, actions, and emotions.
• Evaluate visuals for mood, story progression, and thematic elements.
• Apply critical judgment to select accurate descriptors.
• Document findings following project guidelines.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads.

Ideal Qualifications

• Background in film production, editing, screenwriting or media studies.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to capture subtle narrative and emotional cues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable following structured annotation rubrics.

Opportunity Details

Fully remote and asynchronous; set your own hours. Commitment is up to 40 hours/week on a flexible schedule. Duration is 4–5 weeks minimum with potential for extension. Onboarding occurs within 1–2 days after application.
