Freelance Technical Writer

About the Role

The Freelance Technical Writer position involves designing and reviewing complex written problems, creating gold-standard solutions, and evaluating AI-generated responses to enhance next-generation AI systems' reasoning and comprehension abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative, challenging tasks for AI systems.
• Write gold-standard solutions with clear expert reasoning.
• Review and edit AI-generated content for accuracy and coherence.
• Synthesize source materials into well-structured summaries.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and content leads.

Ideal Qualifications

• Background in technical writing, editorial work, academic research or related fields.
• Proven experience in creating Q&A sets, summaries, or problem-solving content.
• Exceptional deep reading, synthesis, and fact-checking skills.
• Clear, concise writing with a focus on logical structure and precision.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Opportunity Details

Start Date: Rolling, with a paid trial soon after application. Commitment up to 40 hours per week for at least 6 weeks, with potential extension. Work is fully remote and asynchronous.

Compensation & Contract

Rate: $35–$45 per hour based on experience. This is an independent contractor role with weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
