About the Role
A leading AI research initiative is seeking detail-oriented generalists to support the development and fine-tuning of advanced AI systems. As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will improve AI model accuracy by categorizing, labeling, and structuring diverse datasets. Your work is crucial for boosting the quality, reliability, and interpretability of next-generation AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Synthesize large volumes of information into clear outputs.
- Annotate and classify text, images, and multimedia data.
- Apply standardized rubrics and taxonomies for quality labeling.
- Identify and flag errors or ambiguities in datasets.
- Contribute to evaluation and enhancement of AI systems.
Ideal Qualifications
Must be based in the United States with a strong capability to process and structure complex information efficiently. Excellent reading comprehension, analytical, and writing skills are required. Prior experience in data labeling, content moderation, taxonomy development or linguistic annotation is preferred. Independent work ethics and quality maintenance under flexible scheduling are essential.
Project Timeline
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Through October with potential extension through year-end
- Commitment: ~20 hours/week
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous
Compensation & Contract
Rate: $45 USD/hour for U.S.-based contractors. Payment is processed weekly via Stripe Connect on an independent contractor basis.
