CALIBRE is an employee-owned, mission-focused solutions and digital transformation company. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer AWS with a strong background in AWS services to support the design, development, and reengineering of web applications.

This role will work closely with the technical lead and development team to build scalable, high-performing solutions in a secure cloud environment. The developer will also sustain and enhance the end-state solution to ensure long-term availability and reliability.

This position is Remote within the US.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Developing and maintaining front-end and back-end components of web applications.
  • Designing and implementing scalable, reliable solutions using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS, DynamoDB, and others.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
  • Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to team members using Git.
  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and other DevOps tools.
  • Applying secure coding practices and documentation standards.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Working with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end languages (C#, Python, .NET).
  • Sustaining the end-state solution through continued AWS-based development.

Required Skills

  • Ability to develop reusable patterns using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including Glue, Athena, QuickSight, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong experience developing in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Proficiency with server-side languages (C#, Python, .NET).
  • Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
  • Database management experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools.

Desired Skills

  • Hands-on experience with cloud migration and application refactoring.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Jira.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation).
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in building large-scale software applications.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing serverless applications in AWS.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance.
  • Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Must hold at least one AWS Technical Certification, such as: AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate (PREFERRED), AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
