Position Overview

An Entry Level Software Developer works as part of a team to develop and deliver software-based systems while beginning their professional career under supervision.

Responsibilities

Software Development Responsibilities:

  • Define low level software designs and design algorithms.
  • Write code and associated tests.
  • Utilize version control systems and build tools effectively.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team and seek help when necessary.
  • Accept constructive feedback and follow detailed review processes.
  • Handle basic issues and refer complex problems to senior staff.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications or related diploma with relevant experience.

Tech Stack

Programming Languages: Primary: Java or C++; Additional: Python, JavaScript (React).

Build & Development Tools: Gradle, IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code.

Infrastructure & Automation: Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.

Databases & Storage: Postgres, Cassandra, Couchbase.

Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB, Graylog, ELK Stack.

Identity & Access Management: Keycloak.

Operating Systems: Linux. Networking knowledge is an asset.

Candidates are encouraged to learn new technologies on the job.

Compensation

Salary Range: $68,000 - $80,000 per year.
