Position Summary
This IT Support Administration Student Co-Op role is for Software Engineering/Computer Science students who will assist with software-related tasks, technical support, and administrative functions within various departments including Computer Tools and Systems Integration.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with design, test, documentation, and implementation work.
- Create and test software tools while updating drawings and documentation.
- Install and integrate software packages with a focus on troubleshooting.
- Provide administrative and technical support, and prepare data reports.
- Work in a professional office environment with standard equipment.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (preferably Software Engineering or Computer Science), in junior year or higher, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with Bash/PowerShell, and an understanding of Linux and VMware are desirable. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills are required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Python and hands-on experience with personal tech projects are a plus.
Security And Work Environment
Adhere to company security and data protection policies. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for long periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. A DoD Personal Security Clearance eligibility is required.
