We are seeking a motivated and curious QA Engineer Intern to join our team for the Spring term starting March 2, 2026 through May 8, 2026. The Intern will also spend the spring on an individual project customized to their specific skill set which they’ll present to our Tech Leadership team at the end of the program. Details of the projects and timeline will be laid out by supervisors at the beginning of the program.
Responsibilities
- Attend team meetings
- Perform research
- Create test automation scripts and log defects
- Provide administrative support to their supervisor and teammates

Qualifications
- A junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a college or university majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics or a field closely related to the department they are interning in.
- Able to commit to a part-time (20 hours per week) work schedule for the duration of the internship.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn from a rapidly growing company.
- Confident to take initiative and collaborate with teammates.
- Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
Technical Skills Cadent Seeks
Our hiring teams are looking for candidates with one and/or more of the following technical skills:
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
- Basic programming experience in Java or Python
- Working knowledge VS Code or similar IDE, and basic understanding of version control (Git)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Basic understanding of big data concepts (ETL, data pipelines, data warehouses)
- Exposure to or interest in using Gen AI tools to improve testing, automation, or analysis workflows
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Basic awareness or familiarity with Databricks
- Familiarity with common data formats such as CSV, JSON, or Parquet.
- Exposure to testing tools and bug tracking systems such as Jira
