In this vital role, you will contribute to the integrity and quality of academic publishing by performing peer reviews for various journals and publishers. It is important that you are able to disclose your full name and affiliations with the publishers for transparency.

What You Need to Have

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or an equivalent advanced degree in the Nursing subject area.
• At least two publications in your field within the last two years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles relevant to the nursing discipline.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex research.
• Strong written communication skills, enabling you to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback effectively.
• The ability to adhere to deadlines and manage your time efficiently.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity throughout the review process.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.

What You Will Do

• Assess Novelty: Determine if the manuscript presents original research and adds new knowledge or insights to the nursing field.
• Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Critically assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methods to ensure reproducibility.
• Literature Review: Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and accurately cites relevant and up-to-date research in the field.
• Analyze Results and Conclusions: Evaluate the clarity and appropriateness of the results' presentation and confirm that conclusions are supported by the data and significant to the field.
• Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer insightful feedback, suggesting improvements, and highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommend Publication: Your evaluation will inform the journal editor's decision regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection.
