Overview

Cactus Communications is looking for researchers, retired researchers, and former researchers to perform peer reviews for journals and publishers. Candidates must be ready to disclose their full name and affiliations with publishers.

What You Need to Have

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree.
• At least two publications in the last two years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written communication skills for clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals (desirable).
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.

What You Will Do

• Assess Novelty: Determine if manuscripts provide new insights.
• Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Ensure methods are appropriate and reproducible.
• Conduct Literature Review: Check that manuscripts cite up-to-date research.
• Analyse Results and Conclusions: Assess clarity and support of findings.
• Provide Constructive Feedback: Suggest improvements and point out concerns.
• Recommend Publication: Assist editors with decision making on manuscripts.
