In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing expert peer review services for various journals and publishers, ensuring the quality and integrity of academic research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess Novelty: Evaluate manuscripts for originality and their contribution of new knowledge to the field.
  • Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Critically assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methods to ensure reproducibility.
  • Literature Review: Verify that manuscripts thoroughly incorporate and cite relevant, up-to-date research.
  • Analyze Results and Conclusions: Examine the clarity of results presentation and confirm that conclusions are supported by data and significant to the field.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer insightful and actionable feedback, identifying flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
  • Recommend Publication: Your evaluation will guide journal editors in their decision regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in Coastal and Hydraulic Engineering or a related subject area.
