To support our continued expansion, we are seeking a high-performing, commercially driven Senior Sales Manager to join our CST team.
This is a pivotal, revenue-generating role for an experienced sales professional who thrives on developing business, winning new opportunities, and managing strategic customer relationships. The successful candidate will take full ownership of a defined market segment or complex territory and be accountable for driving sustainable, profitable growth.
The Senior Sales Manager, EMEA Carbon Silica Technologies manages sales within a defined market segment or large, complex territory, involving direct selling to customers, distributors, and/or key regional accounts. Beyond driving commercial performance, this role may provide consultative and technical support to customers in close coordination with internal technical teams. This position is reserved for experienced sales leaders managing territories with unique commercial and strategic characteristics.
This is a remote role with flexible location options, preferably near a Cabot location in the EMEA region, including Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, and Latvia.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Own and drive sales performance across a defined market segment with full accountability for revenue growth and margin performance.
- Develop volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results.
- Drive both current and future value for Cabot by building a shared understanding of individual customer and overall portfolio profitability, focusing on Cabot's differentiation.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing and contract discussions, confidently articulating product value, features, and benefits to secure profitable outcomes.
- Educate customers on new products and enhancements, presenting product features and benefits.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, including introducing new products and solutions aligned with customer needs and Cabot’s strategic priorities.
- Act as a commercial partner and trusted advisor to customers, providing consultative support on product applications.
- Leverage and coordinate regional resources to provide technical services support to customers as needed.
- Develop marketing and sales strategies for the territory or region, identifying opportunities for increasing sales and/or pursuing new business.
- Implement plans and programs, obtaining information regarding customers’ present and anticipated needs to identify increased sales opportunities.
- Provide leadership assisting management in setting strategic initiatives and programs to achieve corporate strategies.
- Provide leadership in distributor management, customer service excellence, and commercial discipline, ensuring consistent execution of Cabot’s sales standards and processes.
- Support and mentor less-experienced sales colleagues, providing commercial guidance and best-practice sharing.
- Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with RC14001® technical specification.
- Ensure consistent and disciplined use of Salesforce.com, maintaining accurate forecasts, commercial strategies (ComStrat), Balance of Power analyses, and ENS negotiation preparation documents.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of sales experience in the chemical industry.
- Full professional proficiency in English and German (both written and spoken) is required.
