About the Role: Junior Data Engineer at Cablenet

Working closely with senior data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, the Junior Data Engineer will support the development and maintenance of Cablenet's data warehouse and data pipelines. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality, well-structured data for reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Fulfill incoming data-related requests from internal stakeholders
• Assist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Data Warehouse
• Support the development, debugging, and optimization of ETL/ELT processes
• Participate in data cleansing, transformation, and manipulation activities
• Monitor and help improve data quality, consistency, and reliability
• Collaborate daily with senior engineers and analysts on ongoing initiatives
• Help maintain documentation to ensure data processes are clear, organized, and consistent
• Contribute to automation efforts to reduce manual work and improve efficiency

What We Are Looking For

Cablenet seeks a candidate with foundational knowledge and a proactive mindset:

• Basic knowledge of SQL, including queries, joins, filtering, and aggregations
• Understanding of data modeling concepts such as tables, schemas, primary and foreign keys, and relationships between datasets
• Familiarity with data warehouses and ETL processes
• Basic knowledge of data cleansing and transformation techniques
• Basic Python knowledge for scripting, automation, or data-related tasks is considered an advantage
• Strong attention to data quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Comfort with automation to reduce manual work and build repeatable, scalable processes
• Ability to break down problems, troubleshoot issues, and debug data pipelines
