Responsibilities of a Software Development Engineer in Test

• Work collaboratively with developers and business stakeholders to automate acceptance criteria.
• Be responsible for building robust, high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Actively participate in Product Requirements Document (PRD) reviews and architectural design reviews.
• Gain a deep understanding of the business logic, system architecture, and internal functioning of the product.
• Automate test cases and develop reusable scripts/tools to reduce repetitive efforts for the team.
• Proactively identify efficiency bottlenecks, research, and implement improvements in processes, tools, and frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• A foundational understanding of computer science fundamentals, including testing frameworks, networking, databases, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience in development/coding and system design.
• Strong self-driving force and a quick learning ability.
• Excellent concurrent task processing ability and efficient work output.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated software engineering, quality assurance, or testing experience gained from previous internships, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
• Curiosity towards new technologies and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.
• A good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for the Software Development Engineer in Test position in the selected city is $88,806 - $135,660 annually.

Actual compensation may vary outside of this range based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and specific location. Base pay is a component of the Total Package, which also includes potential additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.

Benefits may differ based on the nature of employment and country work location. Employees receive day-one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. Additionally, employees receive 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, and 17 days of Paid Personal Time per year (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals based on tenure).
