Job Description
Store Design Project Manager
The Store Design Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of Byredo's points of sale across all channels. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, as well as external service providers and contractors, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with the brand's aesthetic and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in architecture, interior design, or a related field, with solid technical skills and excellent project management expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the design and execution of new stores, renovations, and special projects from the guideline phase to delivery.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders: architects, marketing, merchandising, operations, and markets.
Design Development:
- Collaborate with the internal architect and Visual Merchandising teams to develop retail concepts aligned with brand guidelines.
- Review and approve architectural plans, design, and production drawings, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Select materials, equipment, and finishes consistent with quality standards and budget constraints.
Service Provider and Contractor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage external service providers, contractors, and consultants.
- Oversee tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure contractual commitments are met.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, control quality, and ensure design compliance.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
- Prepare and present reports, updates, and tracking documents to management and stakeholders.
- Manage and resolve any blocking points or changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sustainability standards for all projects.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and integrate best practices into future projects.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role in retail store design and project management.
- Proven experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects.
- Good understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industrial processes.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Good knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
