BuzzFeed, Inc. is home to the best of the internet, dedicated to spreading joy and truth through trusted, quality content. The BuzzFeed Editorial Fellowship is a three-month-long program (with potential extension) aimed at aspiring writers eager to hone their craft in digital media.
Program Overview
This full-time, paid fellowship (starting at $20/hour) offers a crash course in creating engaging content that drives cultural conversations. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in pitching ideas, writing articles, and using audience data to refine their approach.
A Typical Day
As a BuzzFeed Editorial Fellow, you will:
- Research trending topics and cultural conversations.
- Pitch creative ideas and brainstorm with a dynamic team.
- Write and edit articles destined for a massive audience.
- Collaborate with top creative talent at BuzzFeed.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should have a strong grasp of internet culture, social media trends, and a passion for pop culture. Experience creating content—ranging from articles to social media posts—is valued. The role requires adaptability, data interpretation, and an authentic voice. Note: Use of AI tools like ChatGPT in the interview process is not allowed.
