Job Description
The Role of a Brand and Content Assistant
This Brand and Content Assistant role at Buttress is pivotal in bringing the brand to life through high-quality visual and written content. It is a delivery-focused position requiring strong graphic design skills, supporting bids, communications, and the digital presence across the architectural practice.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Design
- Design and maintain brand templates, presentations, and various marketing collateral.
- Produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts for bids, case studies, project documentation, social media, digital channels, printed communications, and reports.
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality visual identity across all outputs.
Content & Digital
- Create and regularly update website content, including project pages and news sections.
- Support social media and internal communications, which includes scheduling content (written posts/designed assets), assisting with writing, editing, and publishing content for the practice's website.
- Coordinate with photographers and videographers when necessary, including assisting with shoots and producing basic video and film edits using in-house software like Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Demonstrate broader visual communication experience across areas such as project reports and consultation boards.
Bid & Business Development Support
- Provide support for bid submissions, including creating layouts, graphics, written content, and imagery.
- Ensure brand and presentation standards are met with high quality, accuracy, consistency, and strong visuals.
- Support the full lifecycle of awards submissions, from drafting written entry material and designing boards to liaising with internal teams and clients for approvals, managing deadlines, and coordinating with journalists or award organizers.
About You
We are seeking a candidate who possesses:
- 2–3 years of demonstrable experience in a marketing, design, or communications role.
- Strong and proven skills in the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent visual judgment and keen attention to detail.
- Confidence in managing multiple deadlines effectively.
While experience is valued, curiosity and a willingness to engage actively are equally important.

- 30 hours per week employment.
