Overview
Button’s mission is to build a better internet, fueled by commerce. As a Support Engineer, you will focus on triaging, debugging, and resolving complex partner integration issues. You will be the first technical responder, working with customers and cross-functional teams including Partner Success, Product, and Engineering.
What You’ll Do
- Triage, debug, and resolve complex integration issues across Button’s products
- Act as the first technical point of contact for escalated partner issues
- Analyze logs and monitoring systems to quickly identify root causes
- Collaborate with various teams to drive fixes and prevent recurring issues
- Build and maintain runbooks, documentation, and automation
- Surface systemic issues to recommend product or tooling improvements
Requirements
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across APIs, SDKs, and integrations
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Golang, or Python
- Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Kibana, Grafana, and Sentry
- Ability to document issues and streamline support workflows
- Familiarity with automation and scripting for reducing support load
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing escalations in SaaS, mobile, or API-driven environments
- Exposure to incident management and ticketing tools such as Jira, Zendesk, and PagerDuty
Bonus Points
- Background in AdTech, affiliate, or retail media
- Mobile SDK troubleshooting experience (iOS/Android)
- Experience with observability tools like New Relic
- Experience creating self-service documentation or tooling
Compensation And Benefits
Button offers a competitive base salary (approximately between $100,000 and $130,000) along with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) matching, unlimited time off, health benefits, and additional perks such as mobile stipends and coworking memberships. The work environment is RemotePlus with a hub in New York City.
