Overview
Businessolver, a market-changing benefits technology provider, seeks a Manager of Database Administration. This role leads a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of DBAs.
- Manage Oracle environments (RAC, Data Guard) and non-Oracle systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Establish standards, capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Implement automation using Terraform, Ansible, shell scripting, and PL/SQL.
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud teams, and security experts on infrastructure and compliance matters.
- Oversee on-call support and incident management with post-incident reviews.
- Evaluate new database features and drive continuous improvement.
Technical & Leadership Requirements
A minimum of 10 years experience in database administration with 5+ years in a leadership role is required. Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and additional hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB is essential. Proficiency in scripting, automation frameworks, and familiarity with cloud-managed databases are necessary.
