Responsibilities
Digital Audit & Optimisation: Audit and optimise the full digital presence including website, social platforms, landing pages, newsletters, and distribution channels. Identify performance gaps, friction points, and missed opportunities across the user journey. Ensure digital assets are up to date, coherent, technically sound, and optimised for conversion.
Channel Strategy & Distribution: Define the strategic role of each digital channel based on business objectives and target audiences. Determine goals for platforms such as event registrations, lead generation, brand authority, and community growth. Collaborate with the communications team to set packaging requirements and continuously test and refine strategies.
Paid Media & Performance Marketing: Own the paid media strategy for Google Ads and other platforms (LinkedIn Ads, Meta, etc.). Align campaigns with business goals, monitor execution, analyse performance, optimise budgets, and maximise ROI while defining audience segmentation and targeting.
SEO & Web Performance: Develop and own SEO strategy and web performance optimisation. Analyse traffic sources, behaviour, conversion paths, and define keyword strategies. Improve website performance to convert visitors into attendees, partners, and community members.
LLM & AI Search Optimization: Monitor and optimise WFS's (client) visibility in AI-powered search platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, etc. Ensure proper structuring of content for accurate retrieval by large language models, track AI-generated responses, and define strategies to improve AI search presence.
Analytics, Measurement & Reporting: Define KPIs and success metrics across digital channels. Implement tracking frameworks, dashboards, and reporting systems; analyze performance against targets and provide actionable insights to leadership.
AI, Automation & Tooling: Identify, test, and implement AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and performance. Constantly look for opportunities to scale impact while saving time and resources.
Platform Trends & Innovation: Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm updates, and evolving user behaviour. Monitor emerging channels, formats, and technologies, and proactively recommend what to test, adopt, or ignore.
Requirements
Experience & Skills: 3–5+ years experience in digital marketing, growth, performance marketing or digital strategy roles. Proven expertise in digital performance and growth strategy, paid media, SEO, LLM optimization, and analytics. Familiar with CMS platforms, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console), and paid media platforms.
Mindset & Soft Skills: Extremely analytical, structured, and results-driven. Strategic thinker with a strong business mindset, curious and proactive, comfortable challenging assumptions with data, and able to work across communications, marketing, events, and commercial teams. Interest in football, sports business, media, or global events is a plus.
