Job Summary

The Database Architect will lead the design and execution of a major Azure-to-Azure migration initiative. You will evaluate the current third-party environment, design a secure and scalable architecture, and oversee the end-to-end migration to Indigenous Pact’s Azure ecosystem. This role requires strong Azure data architecture expertise, hands-on migration experience, and an understanding of healthcare data compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing third-party database architecture and design an Azure-based data environment.
  • Plan, document, and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy.
  • Lead migration activities across the data lifecycle with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure solutions meet HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams for smooth integration.
  • Provide technical leadership and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data lake expansion and integration across applications.

Requirements

  • 6–7 years of experience in database and data architecture.
  • Direct Azure data architecture expertise (Microsoft stack only).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure-to-Azure data migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, HIPAA compliance, and complex healthcare data models.
  • Proven ability to design, document, and deploy scalable database architectures.
  • Familiarity with entity relationship tools for database design.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to work remotely from within the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks ETL and data pipeline design.
  • Azure certifications.
  • Experience in early-stage or startup environments.
