Overview
The GIS Intern at 1898 & Co. will apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to support design systems, update existing designs, and assist lead engineers with various project tasks.
Role & Responsibilities
Interns will:
- Perform standard design of engineering systems.
- Correct and update designs as needed.
- Support lead engineers with project duties.
- Engage in various assignments across market segments including utilities, manufacturing, oil, gas, chemicals, ports, and government.
Qualifications
Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science or a related field. Enrollment in a post-secondary education or technical certificate program is required. A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred. Prior internship or consulting experience is an advantage. Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical skills and leadership capabilities are essential, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Information
This internship is based in Kansas City, MO, with 5% travel required. The posting will remain open for a minimum of 72 hours and until filled. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without future sponsorship.
