Application Specialist - Autodesk/Bentley

About the Role

Burns & McDonnell India is seeking an experienced Application Specialist to manage operations and maintenance for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) applications, infrastructure, and data for internal clients. This role focuses on primary applications like Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Hexagon, and ESRI.

Responsibilities

• Plan operations and maintenance for AEC applications and infrastructure.
• Deploy and support AEC and other business-required applications.
• Lead administration and automate routines for product operations (provisions, permissions, metadata).
• Apply expertise to complex initiatives and identify operational efficiencies.
• Coordinate between IT disciplines and Global Practices for seamless integration and data management.
• Build client relationships and develop new operational opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot critical issues and major problems reported by internal clients or escalated by IT staff.
• Escalate unresolved problems to vendor product support when necessary.
• Develop application test plans and record outcomes.
• Analyze recurring issues to determine root cause, corrective action, and preventative measures.
• Identify trends in customer issues and recommend solutions to reduce recurrence.
• Stay informed about AEC industry product improvements.
• Create system architecture diagrams for critical systems.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior IT applications staff.
• Manage QA/QC processes for incident tickets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CAD, Engineering, or a related field, with 8 years of professional experience in troubleshooting design application programs. Applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Expert knowledge of Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, ESRI, or other engineering and design software suites in a production environment.
• Exceptional customer service, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively ascertain customer concerns, consider alternatives, and provide guidance.
• Professional demeanor to enhance customer experience, productivity, and quality.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and business partners.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills for managing multiple clients with differing needs.
• Ability to independently set and meet multiple deadlines.
• Expert computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
