Overview
The Revenue Cost Accountant role at Burnett Specialists Staffing supports the EP Financial Reporting team on budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting for EP US Onshore Gas Assets in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities
Revenues Accounting: Support monthly and forecast production estimates in liaison with the geosciences team, assist in production analysis, ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivable for gas revenues and proper posting by the accounting shared service center, and estimate and post revenue accruals.
Accounting & Financial Operations: Record monthly journal entries for JV Production Costs & Capex, Payables, ARO, Opex costs, allocations, Taxes, and Intercompany transactions. Lead SAP account reconciliations and assist during quarter-end close by reconciling systems (Galaxy and CAP).
Joint Venture & Cost Monitoring: Monitor monthly Joint Venture billings, contribute inputs for Volume, Capex, and Opex tracking, obtain payment approvals for Joint Interest Billings, and book Authorizations for Expenditures (AFEs) according to business guidelines.
Treasury & Asset Management: Review monthly Loan & Deposits summaries, assign movements to corresponding assets using tracking tools, and ensure SAP reflects accurate SWTX bank information from Treasury.
Reporting & Controls: Load monthly financial data into Galaxy/Galyz, perform control checks between SAP and Galaxy/Galyz, support preparation of financial presentations for executive and HQ meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy, data integrity, and process efficiency.
