Job Description
Travel and Expense Administrator
Burke Porter, an Ascential Technologies Brand, is seeking a dedicated Travel and Expense Administrator to manage and support our corporate travel and expense systems. This role involves ensuring policy compliance, providing excellent user support, and contributing to system improvements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain system users, including setup, terminations, transfers, and permissions.
- Provide remote technical assistance for mobile apps, websites, and associated tools.
- Guide users on proper tool usage, processes, and policy compliance.
- Monitor travel booking and expense submissions for accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Resolve and escalate issues related to travel and expenses.
- Coordinate with the travel agency to enforce policies and distribute duty of care information.
- Administer corporate credit cards, monitor purchases, issue/cancel cards, and reconcile accounts.
- Facilitate user education through work instructions, training, and ongoing support.
- Manage shared email accounts, ensuring timely responses and organization.
- Monitor reports and provide guidance and escalation as needed.
- Generate data and reports for stakeholders using integrated and external tools.
- Recommend and implement system and process improvements.
- Assist in rolling out systems to new Ascential locations and support new shared finance systems.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of assigned systems through training and publications.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks related to existing and new responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting, travel, or a system support role.
- Experience with travel and expense systems and procedures is required.
- Experience with credit card programs is strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills for remote support of diverse internal and external groups.
- Ability to understand and accommodate customer urgency.
- A passion for doing things correctly and helping others.
