About the Role
The LCA Sustainability Scientist at Bureau Veritas Group will work with some of the largest organizations globally to translate operational and supply chain data into detailed life cycle assessment (LCA) models. This role focuses on assessing sustainability risks, reporting on corporate goals, and identifying initiatives to reduce environmental impacts.
Responsibilities
- Build detailed process-based LCA models.
- Translate operational and supply chain data into quantifiable metrics.
- Collaborate with finance, data science, and software teams.
- Apply computational methods such as co-product allocation and data normalization.
- Conduct uncertainty and sensitivity analyses.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a Master’s or PhD in industrial ecology or similar fields, or a Bachelor with at least five years of demonstrated LCA expertise. They must display proficiency in life cycle inventory development, compliance with ISO 14040/14044 and ILCD standards, and have strong problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Nice To Have Skills
- Project management experience.
- Experience with hybrid LCA models.
- Knowledge of GIS and spatial analytics.
- Programming skills in R, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization platforms like PowerBI.
