Your Role as a Project Manager, New Build

As a Project Manager in our New Build Team, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery — from planning and resourcing through to financial performance, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction. You’ll provide clear leadership, manage stakeholder relationships, and champion safety, wellbeing, and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver new build projects successfully across safety, resourcing, budget, program, and quality measures.
• Build strong client, subcontractor, and consultant relationships to ensure positive outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Approve and oversee project programs, budgets, procurement strategies, and management plans.
• Present monthly project reports, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance.
• Promote innovative engineering solutions and design options that add value.
• Manage contractual matters, including variations and scope changes.
• Lead by example on site, building trusted partnerships with subcontractors and consultants.

About You

You bring a balance of commercial awareness and a people-focused leadership style, with proven experience delivering complex new build projects. You are confident making decisions, resilient when challenges arise, and comfortable managing the complexities of large-scale construction. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues is a natural part of how you work. You take ownership of outcomes, communicate clearly, and create a supportive environment where teams can deliver to a high standard.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to establish trusted partnerships.
• Commercial awareness and ability to navigate industry trends with an established network.
• Proven track record delivering complex new build construction projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
