The Role of the Temporary Compliance, Transparency, and Data Protection Specialist
We are currently seeking a Temporary Compliance, Transparency, and Data Protection Specialist to join our Compliance, Transparency, and Data Protection Unit. This role is based at our central offices located at Carrer Calàbria, 66, Barcelona. Reporting to and under the supervision of the Head of the Compliance and Transparency Unit, you will be responsible for a range of functions.
Key Responsibilities
Generic Functions
- Execute, plan, and control specialized technical activities.
- Collaborate in the design, management, execution, and evaluation of actions, programs, and projects within your area and business unit.
- Work with specialist technicians and experts in your field of knowledge to fulfill their functions.
- Participate in transversal corporate projects aligned with your area of expertise.
- Perform inspections of initiated programs and projects according to defined criteria.
- Propose improvements related to processes and procedures to promote the achievement of company objectives.
- Coordinate and/or prepare specialized reports, proposals, studies, and other documentation relevant to your area of knowledge.
- Provide internal training within the organization related to your areas of expertise or direct functions.
- Ensure the protection of personal data and act according to ethical and transparency criteria.
- Maintain workplace health and safety, utilizing equipment properly in line with procedures and current prevention regulations.
- Uphold environmental, ethical, and social sustainability at work, adhering to commitments, internal policies, and ESG regulations.
- Ensure the correct functioning and monitoring of preventive, detective, or mitigating risk measures, reporting any deviations according to the company's integral risk management model.
- Notify information security events and incidents detected during the performance of duties.
- Understand and comply with regulations, procedures, and instructions concerning data use and security, as outlined in information security policies.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all personal and confidential information acquired through your work, even after the employment relationship concludes.
- Perform any other similar functions as assigned.
Specific Functions
- Manage, process, and respond to Public Information Access Right requests.
- Oversee active publicity (Transparency initiatives).
- Review and monitor compliance with Data Protection regulations.
- Prepare documentation, manuals, policies, protocols, and training content.
- Identify, control, and monitor regulatory compliance obligations and risks, along with associated controls.
- Implement improvements and controls for the detection, prevention, and reaction to the company's regulatory compliance risks.
- Resolve internal queries regarding personal data protection.
- Manage, process, and respond to requests for exercising Personal Data Protection rights.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree in Law, or an Advanced Vocational Training Certificate related to the field.
- Training in Criminal Compliance.
- Training in Personal Data Protection.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in technical and support positions within consultancies, law firms, or consulting companies specializing in Regulatory Compliance (both Criminal and Personal Data Protection).
- Advanced C1 level proficiency in Catalan and Spanish (oral and written).
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
