Job Description

Global Head of Accreditation and Compliance

Join BSI and be part of creating positive change for people and the planet. We are seeking a Global Head of Accreditation & Compliance to provide strategic leadership and governance for accreditation and compliance across BSI’s Global Assurance Business. This role is crucial for ensuring BSI’s Assurance Services maintain compliance with accreditation requirements, safeguarding impartiality, and driving effective implementation of the global management system.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Define and lead the global accreditation strategy, ensuring compliance with international standards and business objectives.
  • Maintain global and regional accreditation relationships, overseeing all accreditation lifecycle activities.
  • Lead global readiness for external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Oversee the Business Management System, ensuring it meets accreditation, regulatory, and business requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to impartiality, compliance, and accreditation.
  • Develop and oversee the global internal audit program to drive process improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Leverage data to identify regulatory changes, track performance trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Build global Q&C capability through training, development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Robust experience in Conformity Assessment at a regional/global level, with substantial knowledge of IAF Mandatory Documents and ISO/IEC 17021.
  • Background in accreditation management (e.g., ISO/IEC 17021/17029/17064) and practical auditing experience are desirable.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Experience in managing relationships with accreditation and regulatory bodies.
  • High integrity with a strong commitment to impartiality and compliance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different regions and cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with experience briefing senior leadership.
  • Advanced professional certifications (e.g., CQI/IRCA, Six Sigma, Risk Management) are advantageous.

About the Role

This role is open globally to candidates in locations where BSI has a legal entity/office. It is a home-based position with occasional in-person meetings required. The application deadline is Sunday, April 19th, 2026.
