SEO Analytics & Reporting Specialist
BruntWork is seeking an SEO Analytics & Reporting Specialist to be the architect of our data infrastructure, connecting technical data collection with strategic insights. Your core mission is to ensure clients receive accurate, reliable data and to equip our SEO team with automated visualizations that demonstrate ROI and fuel growth.
Schedule & Arrangement
- Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM Sydney time.
- Includes a 30-minute break.
- Permanent work-from-home role.
- Independent Contractor arrangement.
- Immediate hiring.

Responsibilities
1. Analytics Implementation, Configuration & Data Quality
- Configure & Audit: Set up, maintain, and audit analytics platforms (primarily GA4, adaptable to others) for data accuracy.
- Event Management: Implement GA4 events, conversions, and audiences aligned with SEO and business goals.
- Tracking Architecture: Collaborate with development teams and tag management systems (GTM) for robust tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Audit existing setups to find and fix tracking gaps and inconsistencies.
- Adaptability: Adjust reporting based on client tech stacks and serve as the SME for custom implementations.
2. Reporting & Template Design (Looker Studio)
- Dashboard Architecture: Design, build, and maintain standardized SEO client reporting templates in Looker Studio.
- Usability: Create intuitive, clear reports for SEO specialists with minimal training.
- Data Storytelling: Translate complex GA4 and SEO data into actionable insights and KPIs.
- Scalability: Develop flexible reporting structures for customized views without compromising data integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain guides for report usage and interpretation.
3. Data Integration & Connectivity
- Source Management: Connect and manage SEO data sources (GSC, GBP, analytics, keyword tools) in reporting environments.
- Unified Reporting: Create a ‘One Search’ report combining organic and PPC data to find opportunities and identify cannibalization.
- Accuracy: Ensure key metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, position) are accurately represented and segmented.
- Cross-Platform Alignment: Align Search Console data with GA4 engagement and conversion metrics.
4. Keyword Rankings & Performance
- Rank Tracking Integration: Integrate keyword ranking data into Looker Studio dashboards.
- Business Impact: Connect ranking improvements to business outcomes (revenue/leads) where possible.
- KPI Definition: Help define meaningful keyword KPIs for diverse client types and strategies.
5. Data Analysis & Insights
- Trend Identification: Analyze GA4, GSC, and keyword data for trends, anomalies, and traffic fluctuations.
- Strategic Support: Aid SEO strategy with deep-dive reporting, including purchase journey and funnel analysis.
- Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and scalability.
6. Internal Enablement & Collaboration
- Internal SME: Act as the internal GA4 and reporting subject matter expert for the SEO team.
- Auditing: Diagnose and fix GA4 issues for new clients and audit Enterprise clients.
- Training: Educate the team on GA4 concepts and best practices; collaborate on dashboard improvements.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), including debugging tags, configuring data layers, and troubleshooting cross-domain tracking.
- Visualization: Advanced skills in Looker Studio (data blending, calculated fields, regex).
- SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of Technical SEO, Google Search Console, and search data correlation with onsite behavior.
- Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and fix
