Overview
BruntWork is seeking a high-level Technical Lead to spearhead a strategic platform migration from Square Online to Shopify. In this role, you will act as the primary architect for our digital transformation, resolving technical SEO debt and integrating a unified POS system for our luxury showroom and hospitality space.
Schedule: 9am–8pm EST (Cincinnati, OH)
Work Arrangement: Permanent work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Responsibilities
- Execute a flawless migration of product data, customer records, and historical data from Square Online to Shopify.
- Solve technical SEO hurdles including JS-heavy rendering issues and consolidation of a fragmented blog subdomain.
- Develop a seamless UX for direct e-commerce checkout and high-touch lead generation.
- Customize a premium Shopify theme or build a custom frontend that aligns with the client's elite identity.
- Configure and deploy Shopify POS for integrated inventory and customer data across channels.
- Anticipate potential issues related to site speed, structured data, and provide team training.
Requirements
- Shopify Plus Certification with proven mastery of the Shopify Plus ecosystem.
- Relevant portfolio in Interior Design, Luxury Furniture, or High-End Decor sectors.
- Deep technical SEO knowledge including 301 redirect mapping and metadata migration.
- Full-stack skills with proficiency in liquid, CSS, and JS customization while maintaining site performance.
- Strategic mindset and up-to-date knowledge of e-commerce trends and best practices.
Project Scope
- Phase 1: Comprehensive Audit (SEO, Speed, UX, Data Health).
- Phase 2: Design & Development (Theme customization & Lead-gen integration).
- Phase 3: Migration & POS Setup.
- Phase 4: Launch, 301 Monitoring, and Staff Training.
Additional Information
This is a permanent work-from-home position under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Applicants must have their own computer and internet connection. Benefits and taxes are self-managed.
