Job Description

Job Overview: Junior Content Creation & Video Editor at BruntWork

The client is seeking a high-energy, "visual-first" Junior Content Creator & Video Editor to serve as the creative engine of our agency. For the first 90 days, your primary mission is to eliminate our content backlog and establish a high-standard production rhythm. You aren't just an editor; you are a digital storyteller who understands how to stop the scroll and drive engagement for local businesses.

As an Independent Contractor, you will enjoy permanent work-from-home flexibility, immediate hiring, and a steady freelance job. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule (20 hours/week), with a target of 3 longer shifts (e.g., 6-7 hours/day) to align with MDT/MST business hours. The hourly rate is the equivalent of $7.75 USD per hour in your local currency.

Please note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. Professional fees are on hourly rates, with the rate depending on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • High-Impact Video Editing: Script, cut, and polish 5–10 Reels/TikToks per week. Proficient in dynamic captions, transitions, and hooks using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Canva Design Mastery: Utilize Canva to create "scroll-stopping" thumbnails, educational carousels, and static posts.
  • Brand Fidelity: Collaborate with the Content Manager to ensure assets align perfectly with brand kits and specific client voices.
  • Operational Autonomy: Independently manage daily workflows via ClickUp, ensuring high output with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Technical Expert: Advanced proficiency in CapCut, Canva, and Final Cut Pro. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) is a significant plus.
  • The "2-Hour" Standard: Proven ability to turn around a high-quality first draft of a 60-second Reel in under 2 hours.
  • Relevant Portfolio: A strong body of work demonstrating success with US-based service industries (e.g., Real Estate, MedSpas, or Home Services). APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED.
  • Proactive Communicator: A self-starter who asks clarifying questions and provides daily end-of-shift updates.
