Job Description
General Accountant US GAAP
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant (US GAAP) to handle end-to-end accounting functions for a US-based client. The ideal candidate has strong general accounting experience, a solid understanding of US GAAP, and the ability to manage financial reporting, audits, and budgeting independently.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Eastern Time with 30 minutes paid break (40 work hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Manage end-to-end general accounting processes
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform month-end and year-end closing of financial books
- Conduct balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reports
- Track and report on key financial KPIs
- Support management with financial insights and analysis
Audit & Budgeting
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis
Requirements
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, and month-end close)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA certification is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Experience working in a BPO or freelancing environment is preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication skills

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
