Overview

The Full Stack Web Developer position at BruntWork is responsible for designing and building a modern corporate website inspired by leading biotech companies such as Nurix Therapeutics and Akero Therapeutics. The site will showcase the company’s science, pipeline, leadership, and mission with a professional, clean aesthetic.

Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: USD 11.42

Weekly Hours: 40 hours with flexible scheduling and about 5 hours overlapping with client hours (weekday afternoons EST).

Work Arrangement: Work from home as an Independent Contractor.

Additional Benefits: HMO Coverage for eligible locations, immediate hiring.

Key Objectives

  • Develop a fully responsive and SEO-optimized website.
  • Implement secure and scalable architecture with CMS integration.
  • Ensure accessibility, fast performance, and cross-device compatibility.
  • Set up analytics, contact forms, and investor relations feeds.

Responsibilities

  • Translate design mockups and wireframes into a responsive website.
  • Develop front-end and back-end components using modern frameworks.
  • Configure CMS (WordPress headless, Strapi, Contentful or similar).
  • Manage integrations for analytics, newsletters, and forms.
  • Conduct cross-browser, mobile, and accessibility testing.
  • Handle deployment, hosting setup, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide documentation and training for site management.

Post-Launch Expectations

After the website goes live, there may be an opportunity to transition into a retainer-based model for ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities will include regular updates, security monitoring, performance optimization, technical support, and minor feature enhancements.

Requirements

Frontend: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and experience with frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular, along with responsive design principles and CSS frameworks such as Tailwind or Bootstrap.

Backend/Database: Experience with Node.js/Express, Python frameworks (Django/Flask), RESTful API or GraphQL, CMS integrations, and database design with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

DevOps/Hosting: Cloud hosting experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD setup, and security configurations.

Additional: Experience with SEO, analytics and structured data, excellent communication skills, and biotech or healthcare web development is a plus.
