Job Description

Technician Designer Advanced Concepts at BRP

We are looking for a Technician Designer, Advanced Concepts who will be responsible for the evolution of the technical package through the deliverables of the advanced concepts process.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in Advanced Concepts projects to define the vehicles of the future.
  • Work closely with the International Advanced Design team to conceive innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate directly with the Sophia Antipolis-based design team to propose innovative technical solutions for Advanced Concepts projects.
  • Collaborate remotely with the central engineering team based in Canada to develop innovative technical solutions for Advanced Concepts projects.
  • Participate in recreational vehicle projects (LYNX ROTAX) towards their production.
  • Participate in projects leading to the production of recreational vehicles, providing direct support to designers.
  • Be responsible for the technical link with LYNX and ROTAX engineering for the development and production monitoring of parts.
  • Create 2D technical drawings and their 3D modeling necessary for the fabrication of mechanical and architecture components.
  • Utilize internal systems for analysis and calculations, specification lists, and various proposals to optimize quality and costs.
  • Maintain the bill of materials and progress report, and follow up with the management team.

What You'll Bring:

  • DEC in Mechanical Engineering or BTS / DUT, design option, or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the design of innovative vehicles within a Design team (Studio Technical Conceptor).
  • Keen sense of mechanics and good 3D visualization skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of software such as Catia V5 and/or Solidworks.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • High sensitivity to creative ideas and a clear disruptive vision in product design.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to problems encountered.
  • Collaborative spirit and excellent teamwork.
