Location: This is a fully remote position, open to candidates residing anywhere in India.

Role in a Nutshell

The Technical Lead - Fullstack role involves researching and solving critical, complex and challenging problems impacting BrowserStack's business objectives. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be part of a high performing team, with primary responsibility of leading & mentoring a small group (2-3) of engineers and delivering objectives and key results.

Desired Experience

• Good experience in at least one scripting language: Ruby, Node.js, Python, AppleScript, Unix shell or similar.
• Familiar with one compiled language: C, Java, C++, Go or similar.
• Strong experience of frontend using React.js.
• Good working knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and networking concepts.
• Ability to work on Windows and Linux platforms beyond user and application layers, including file systems, kernels, custom installations, shell scripting, internal APIs, etc.
• Relevant software engineering experience of 6+ years.

What will you do?

• Solving critical, complex and challenging problems by designing and developing highly scalable, available and reliable user-centric applications.
• Contribute and lead development across web application/app layers, backend systems, databases, open source code bases, streaming and other associated technologies.
• Research and adapt cutting edge technologies as per product requirements in a rapid paced environment.
• Write & review tech specs, mentor junior engineers and review code.
• Take initiatives and display high levels of ownership and commitment.
