Overview

Role Summary

The Claims Adjuster is the lead adjuster for the financial services group. You will handle claims, analyze coverage under various professional liability policies, manage litigation, engage in settlement negotiations, and act as a troubleshooter for the account.

Essential Duties

  • Apply legal liability judgment and manage claim settlements.
  • Assign and monitor defense counsel, adjusters, and experts.
  • Collect and secure supporting documentation and investigate loss details.
  • Identify high exposure claims and advise supervisors accordingly.
  • Coordinate with underwriting companies and professional groups.
  • Research applicable coverages and draft necessary legal documentation.
  • Provide regular updates to insureds, claimants, and sponsoring companies.
  • Travel as required while ensuring compliance with vehicle guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of litigation and claims management experience.
  • B.A or B.S required; J.D. is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
  • Must be licensed as a Qualified Claims Manager within 90-days of hire.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and TEAMS.
