About the Role
Brookfield Wealth Solutions (BWS) is a leading capital solutions platform with US$150 billion in assets under management. The Intern, Investments role is part of the Mergers & Acquisitions team, offering students a hands-on and challenging summer experience in investment research, financial modeling, and transaction support.
The Opportunity
This internship will expose you to the M&A function within the organization and provide mentoring from seasoned investment professionals. You will collaborate with the team to support investment strategies, conduct research, and develop financial models.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investment research and identify transaction opportunities.
- Assist in transaction execution and due diligence.
- Prepare presentations, memos, and marketing materials.
- Develop financial models including valuation and credit modeling.
- Collaborate on value-creation initiatives with operating businesses.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in commerce, finance, economics, or accounting.
- Exposure to investment banking, private equity, or asset management.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with attention to detail.
