Total Rewards Senior Specialist at Brookfield Renewable U.S.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards, this role will oversee relationships with employee benefits vendors, manage key benefits initiatives including open enrollment, and resolve employee complaints with professionalism and care across our US business.
Responsibilities
- Support acquisitions, divestiture, and reorganizations in a diverse private equity environment.
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators to ensure service excellence and compliance.
- Lead annual open enrollment planning and execution including communications, system updates, and employee support.
- Administer health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs with accurate data management and timely resolution of issues.
- Handle employee benefits inquiries and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Drive benefits-related projects such as plan design changes, system implementations, and process improvements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, and finance teams to align benefits strategy with organizational goals.
- Participate in government filings, plan audits, and other reporting requirements as necessary.
- Assist with the design and development of benefits policies and plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or total rewards with a focus on vendor management and employee support.
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms (UltiPro, Workday) preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Salary Range
$95,000 - $115,000
